Let not your mind run on what you lack as much as on what you have already. Of the things you have, select the best; and then reflect how eagerly they would have been sought if you did not have them.

Blessing Mothers
God's love is blessing you.
Dear mothers of the world, you may be someone who has given birth, or
you may have assumed the role of mother in another way. Just the same,
you are God's love in expression. No matter what your age is, where
you are, or who the children are who need you; you are ready to give
them reassurance, to dry their tears, and to listen to them tell of
their new discoveries.
Of all the roles you fill in life, being a mother is one that has no
expiration date. As you nurture, encourage, and support any of God's
children, you are being God's love.
God bless you, dear mothers of the world. You are loved and honored
for what you have done and continue to do in life as you nurture,
love, and care for your children and all children of God.
"Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who
are members of my family, you did it to me." -- Matthew 25:40

Doing nothing is very hard to do - you never know
when you're finished!
Leslie Nielsen

Stop thinking this is all there is...
Realize that for every ongoing war and religious outrage and environmental devastation, there are a thousand counter-balancing acts of staggering generosity and humanity and art and beauty happening all over the world, right now, on a breathtaking scale, from flower box to cathedral.
Resist the temptation to drown in fatalism, to shake your head and sigh and just throw in the karmic towel.
Realize that this is the perfect moment to change the energy of the world, to step right up and crank your personal volume; right when it all seems dark and bitter and offensive and acrimonious and conflicted and bilious... there's your opening!
And, finally, believe you are part of a groundswell, a resistance, a seemingly small but actually very, very large impending karmic overhaul, a great shift, the beginning of something important and potent and unstoppable.

An act of goodness is of itself an act of happiness. No reward coming after the event can compare with the sweet reward that went with it.

My Story
Aligning myself with spiritual principles, I accept all my blessings.
As I consider my experiences in life, I have a choice: I can focus on
the happy experiences and the successes, or I can focus on the sad and
disappointing ones. A better choice, however, might be to embrace all
experiences for whatever value I have learned from them.
Jesus taught life lessons through the stories He told to those around
him. By applying spiritual principles to potential real-life
situations, He taught that a transformation was possible -- just as a
transformation is possible for me today.
I am writing the story of my life daily, and I want it to be one that
includes a deep, abiding relationship with God. In aligning myself
with the principles taught by Jesus, I have a relationship with God
that fulfills me, and I receive a blessing from all experiences.
"Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and
not to lose heart." -- Luke 18:1
